Refugees and new immigrants have a hard time entering the workforce and often find it as hard to stay at their found positions. Often, the primary source of income is social benefits.

Köömen offers new immigrants an 8-month-long programme during which the participants acclimatise to the Estonian work culture, develop their Estonian language skills, gain experience in food service, and grow their social network. Participants get practical work experience in providing catering, food service, and food training.

Social entrepise Köömen is a NULA alumn. With the Good Deed Impact Fund, we support the empowerment of the Köömen team, the development of impact assessment, and their expansion to Tallinn.
